Description The objective of “Circuit Art’Mattend” is to strengthen the theatre sector in Togo, Haiti and Benin. The project produced two theatre performances, supported the writing and publishing of ten dramaturgical texts, organised training sessions in cultural management, and created an International Distribution Agency for the Performing Arts.
Results - The action provided the necessary tools to professionalise the sector through workshops, training, creations, meetings and exchanges; - Real awareness of the situation and a willingness to work together emerged. A big step towards raising awareness among public authorities, development actors, the public and the whole community has been made; - Young dramatic authors, previously unknown to the general public, have benefited from space for expression; - Several shows addressed the issue of gender, which was discussed during forums and round tables.

Description This action strengthened the cultural tourism industry around historical sites and locations linked to the black slave trade and slavery in Africa and the Caribbean. The project strengthened the professional skills of the sector operators and improved the creation of quality cultural goods and services, integrating the offer into the tourist distribution circuits.
Results - The remembrance sites and locations are better developed, protected and enhanced thanks to: rehabilitation works; exhibitions, signposting, visitor materials; - The cultural tourism offer is enriched and the history and remembrance sites and locations are at the heart of a cultural and tourism dynamic; - The visibility and resources of the cultural tourism industry have been increased.

Description The action consisted of a series of training activities aimed at strengthening the technical and professional skills of young Dominican, Haitian and Cuban video makers. The project also facilitated networking and allocated sub-grants
Results - Young artists received training in marketing and communication, financing opportunities and new promotional techniques through participative workshops. More than 50% of the young professionals involved in the workshops were able to find additional funds or created their own company; - The project beneficiaries have enhanced their access opportunities to the professional market; - The films produced, dealing with cross-cutting issues such as indigenous people, gender or environment, have been used as a pedagogical tool in several universities, public events and awareness campaigns.

Description A project to boost markets and audiovisual productions in ACP countries by enhancing the value of works and digital image banks.
Results - The project enabled the distribution of archive material and audiovisual production through value creation for archive images; - A new generation of professionals has been trained in the production of documentaries based on archives; - African televisions were trained in the use of archives and use the same sharing tool (Archibald platform); - A film scanner has been installed at the Imagine Institute in Ouagadougou and several hundred hours of programmes are available; - A regional directive on audiovisual legal deposit was drafted and approved in September 2015 by the UEMOA Ministers of Culture.

Description The feature length project “Murder in Pacot” brings together two internationally renowned Haitian artists, director Raoul Peck and writer Lyonel Trouillot. Both of them worked on producing this film, which has a two-fold goal: to strengthen the Haitian film industry and to reach a wider, international audience. “Meurtre à Pacot” tells the story of the daily lives of three people following the earthquake of 12th January 2010 in Port-au-Prince.
Results - The project led to the production of a locally anchored feature film with universal reach. The film relied on local resources in the difficult context of a country destroyed by a natural disaster; - The training of local technicians and the entry of foreign money into the local economy was promoted; - The action consolidated beneficiaries and local partners, who are now working with international productions.

Description VOD platform for African and Caribbean films and mobile screenings
Results - The project contributed to better distribution and remuneration of ACP audiovisual production by digital means; - Thanks to the mobiCINE sessions, the action introduced cinema into popular education, especially among schoolchildren; - The project participated in the fight against piracy of films in ACP countries and in strengthening the skills of local technicians; - Partnerships have been established at continental and Caribbean level in the field of digital broadcasting of ACP films.

Description “Cristo Rey” is the second feature length production by Dominican film maker Leticia Tonos. The film is set in the Dominican Republic and depicts the complex relations between the Haitian and Dominican diaspora. Co-produced by four organisations (two Dominican, one Haitian and one French), this project reinforced the Dominican film industry and distribution networks in the Caribbean.
Results The production of the film had a structuring impact on the film industry in the Dominican Republic. Local partners were greatly involved and now work as subcontractors for foreign productions. The government has invested in film production.

Description Through the networking of four cultural centres, “Littafcar” contributed to improving the status of francophone African and Caribbean literary heritage. The project established a dedicated fund in each of the libraries of the centres, as well as a web platform to provide distance training activities and a communication policy on literary heritage.
Results - Each partner is recognised as a reference centre in the promotion of French-speaking literary heritage in Africa and the Caribbean; - The four partners lead a transnational network promoting this literature; - The centres encourage the teaching of this literature and the dissemination of French-language literary works on a large scale in ACP and Northern countries.
