Description
Initiated by the General Secretariat of the Pacific Community, this project projected wide support for the development of cultural industries in three countries: Fiji, Samoa and the Solomon Islands. Strengthening the cultural policies and regulatory frameworks, operational and institutional capacity-building, and the development of a toolbox were among the key activities of the project.
Results
- SPC and partners conducted a series of formal and informal capacity building sessions with the SAC executive committee to support the refinement of their constitutions and development of their strategic and operational plan. In each project country, the ministries responsible for culture lead the strategic direction of cultural and creative industries development;
- The project created an in-depth entrepreneurship manual;
- Several entrepreneurship workshops for cultural producers were carried out.
