Description Africadoc Production's overall objective is to professionalise the production of African creative documentary works. To do this, three main activities were implemented: training sessions; the creation of a business incubator to support film projects and the development of a directory of production companies and documentary films in Africa.
Results - The project helped to support the emergence of a new generation of African author-directors of creative documentary films; - The activities allowed the creation of the first incubator for audiovisual documentary production companies in West Africa; - Several documentary film projects focussing on topics with high societal impact (war orphans, refugees, jihadists, social reintegration of prisoners, women's rights, marine overexploitation, environment, youth, art and culture).

Description The objective of the project was to contribute to the preservation and the promotion of cultural diversity, focussing in particular on the Bissagos Islands in Guinea-Bissau, by creating a network of three West African music festivals.
Results - The Bubaque Festival provided an opportunity for greater ceremonial coordination and collaboration across islands; - The network of stakeholders has been reinforced and micro-entrepreneurship business increased; - The action was able to generate short-term revenues (technical festival personnel, musical artists, hotels and tour operators, micro-entrepreneurs in food services, accommodation, event attendees, cultural industry policy makers). - Positive environmental impact was achieved through environmental education and the promotion of bio-diversity.

Description This action strengthened the cultural tourism industry around historical sites and locations linked to the black slave trade and slavery in Africa and the Caribbean. The project strengthened the professional skills of the sector operators and improved the creation of quality cultural goods and services, integrating the offer into the tourist distribution circuits.
Results - The remembrance sites and locations are better developed, protected and enhanced thanks to: rehabilitation works; exhibitions, signposting, visitor materials; - The cultural tourism offer is enriched and the history and remembrance sites and locations are at the heart of a cultural and tourism dynamic; - The visibility and resources of the cultural tourism industry have been increased.

Description Making African documentaries available through a film catalogue, DVDs and a web platform.
Results - The final beneficiaries (the partners) have expanded their network in the African audiovisual field and acquired skills in the field of film sales, negotiation and sales strategies for the African audiovisual market. - The target group (television stations) became aware of the need to broadcast high quality African programmes and African creative documentaries. They also understood the need to generate an economy for the rights holders and therefore to pay for the films; - The project has been useful for African independent producers, offering them other prospects for distribution, partnership and acquisition of rights.

Description Through the Digital United ACP project, Buni.tv set up collaborative structures and developed a fair, common contract which greatly simplified the digital distribution process for filmmakers.
Results - The project allowed an enlargement of the platform’s catalogues and the development of partnerships with other distribution platforms; - ACP film industry stakeholders are aware of the opportunity to distribute their work through the partner platforms, and several have started to see some revenues; - ACP audiences have better, cheaper, wider access to ACP films, totaling over 18,000,000 online views for films from ACP areas that had not previously been so widely exposed.

Description “Wùlu” is the first full-length feature film by the Malian filmmaker Daouda Coulibaly. It is a political thriller, offering a modern and up-to-date vision of Malian society. The project hinged on the production of the film, technical training activities and the development of a screening network in West Africa.
Results - ACP cultural operators in the audiovisual and cinema sector strengthened their structures and skills and are better able to produce ambitious projects; - Professionals in the sector (technicians and actors) strengthened their skills and experience in Senegal and Mali, encouraging their hiring on other local production projects; - The film helped raise awareness among young audiences about the issues of drug trafficking.

Description The aim of "ACP 3D" was to create a perennial training network for 2D and 3D animation, targeting youths in ACP States. Over 18 months, ten selected interns were trained in 3D animation and produced 5 short training programmes for television.
Results - Capacity building of ACP countries in the design and production of 3D animations; - The training resulted in concrete professional opportunities for students; - A 2D and 3D animation production structure was created at the end of the project; - Fee-paying training in 2D and 3D animation arts and animation techniques was created in Senegal at the IAM school.

Description Aimed principally at physically handicapped (predominantly visual) professionals in Kenya and Senegal, DocuSound delivered a series of training courses in production and developed and broadcast radio documentaries.
Results - The project gave the opportunity to people with disabilities to make themselves heard in the media; - 2 websites created; - A network of professionals delivering radio content, regardless of the physical abilities of the members, has been built; - Documentaries were aired on 6 local community radios (some have an audience of over 1 million people) and are on line. Main issues of documentaries: social justice, human rights, health access, fair development; - Trainees have become trainers.

Description VOD platform for African and Caribbean films and mobile screenings
Results - The project contributed to better distribution and remuneration of ACP audiovisual production by digital means; - Thanks to the mobiCINE sessions, the action introduced cinema into popular education, especially among schoolchildren; - The project participated in the fight against piracy of films in ACP countries and in strengthening the skills of local technicians; - Partnerships have been established at continental and Caribbean level in the field of digital broadcasting of ACP films.

Description Directed by the young Senegalese filmmaker Hubert Laba Ndao, “Dakar Trottoirs”, an example of South-South cooperation, provided the opportunity to turn actors and technicians into professionals and, in the countries concerned, generate new cinematographic vocations focussed on modernity. Set primarily in Dakar, the film follows a group of teenagers with no family, free and on the fringes of society who, with their coming of age, find themselves confronted with a new set of dreams and ambitions.
Results - The project enabled professionalisation and capacity building of technicians and actors; - The film contributed to the emergence of a new generation of filmmakers; - Local service capabilities were strengthened.

Description The Network for African Talents contributed to the professionalisation and promotion of the artists and managers involved in live shows in Mozambique, Senegal and Cameroon. The project included concert production, training workshops and promotional actions for emerging artists in ACP states and in Europe.
Results - Increased promotion of creativity and artistic quality; - New productions in the fields of music and theatre have been created and their distribution has been improved; - A new generation of young talented artists has been promoted, through workshops, new productions and their presence at many important festivals; - Better access for local people to culture, music and theatre was achieved.

Description The project allowed the festival "Africa Fête" to become itinerant in four countries: Benin, Cameroon, Senegal and France. More than 60 groups were programmed, improving the international mobility of artists and cultural operators.
Results - Mobility of African artists and cultural operators in Africa and Europe has been greatly encouraged; - The festival significantly increased its audience during all concerts and events; - Artists, structures, actors and cultural professionals participated in professional exchanges and strengthened their capacities.

Description "Pamoja” is a capacity building programme for artists, technicians and company directors involved in the dramatic arts on the African continent. Nine works were guided over two years, primarily through residencies and guidance in co-production.
Results The project contributed to: - The development and structuring of performing arts in the DRC, Senegal, Burkina Faso and Mozambique; - The improvement of the quality, diversity and visibility of choreographic productions in these countries; - The professionalisation and structuring of the partner companies; - The emergence of new figures onto the African scene; -Mobility of artists.
